Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Dawson (ranked 1147 p4p, 1737 weight class) and Felipe Couture (ranked 144 p4p, 203 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Dawson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson throws an overhand right that lands on Couture's shoulder, as Couture tries to avoid the shot.
Couture misses with a straight left.
Dawson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It looked like Dawson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Couture throws a leg kick but Dawson sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Dawson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Couture moves in looking to clinch but Dawson pushes him off.
A little feinted left hand from Dawson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Couture throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
It looked like Dawson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Dawson throws a lazy right hand but Couture sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Couture moves into the clinch successfully.

Dawson is trying to pull guard but Couture turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Dawson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Couture is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dawson to the mat. Dawson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Dawson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Couture can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dawson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Couture defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Couture stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dawson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dawson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Couture on the ground.
Dawson has his hands on Couture's head, controlling the position.

Couture wants to control from the top but Dawson keeps moving.
Couture looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Couture closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Couture lands in his opponent's guard.

Couture slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Couture works to advance to full mount. Dawson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Dawson tries to lock up and control but Couture gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

and Dawson counters with a nice right hand that sends Couture toppling to the canvas! Couture scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Dawson finish him?!

and Dawson counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
