PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Perov Yelisey (ranked 2862 p4p, 4674 weight class) and Andrzej Bebok (ranked 239 p4p, 350 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Perov Yelisey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 73 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andrzej Bebok!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bebok throws a leg kick but Yelisey sees it coming and checks it nicely.
It looked like Yelisey was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Bebok throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yelisey was covering up waiting for the punch and Bebok finishes the takedown easily into guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bebok working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bebok trying to control the position from guard on top but Yelisey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yelisey lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Bebok has momentary wrist control but Yelisey slips an elbow through the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bebok is rocked!
Bebok wants to sweep here but Yelisey controlling him for the moment.
Yelisey keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bebok's head.
Yelisey scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Bebok is still in real trouble! Can Yelisey finish him?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yelisey is working Bebok over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Yelisey postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Bebok covers up, he's hurt! Yelisey keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Yelisey and the ref steps in to end the fight! Yelisey can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
