Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barton.
Barton takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Buster Barton has been cut.
Barton looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Barton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ali sprawls well initially but Barton persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

and Barton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ali's guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Barton cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Barton is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ali to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ali shrugs it off.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ali defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Barton.
Ali is bucking up trying to escape but Barton cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Barton jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ali is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ali and Barton has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Barton throws a leg kick but Ali sees it coming and moves out of range.
Barton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ali tries to avoid it but Barton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ali to the ground. Ali escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ali misses with a series of wild punches.
Ali clobbers Barton with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Barton has Ali up against the cage in a clinch.

Barton pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Barton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Barton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ali is just riding it out for now. Barton eventually gives up the hold.

Ali is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Barton shoots for a takedown but Ali saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ali lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ali's corner calls for a 1-2. Ali obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Barton is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Ali moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
