Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cletus McFarlane (ranked 4262 p4p, 25292 weight class) and Sand Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cletus McFarlane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Sand Storm!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFarlane misses the shot to the body.

McFarlane is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Storm's half guard.
Storm is looking to escape.
McFarlane trying to pass the guard but Storm defending well.
McFarlane is looking to stall here but Storm recovers full guard.

McFarlane has gone for a leg lock! Storm slips out almost immediately though and dives into McFarlane's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Storm accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McFarlane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

McFarlane working a defensive guard but Storm passes into half guard.
McFarlane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Storm on the ground.
Storm missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
McFarlane wants to get back to his feet.
McFarlane pushes Storm off but Storm dives into side control.
McFarlane tries to bench press Storm off him but Storm keeps the position.
McFarlane is working hard here to advance position.
Storm throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
You can see the frustration on McFarlane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
McFarlane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McFarlane tries to get out of the position.

Storm stands up and we're back to a striking position.

McFarlane fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Storm to the ground. McFarlane is now in Storm's guard.

Storm pushes McFarlane off and gets back to his feet.
Storm fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Storm is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
McFarlane tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

McFarlane has hold of one of Storm's legs. Storm is fighting the takedown attempt but McFarlane gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McFarlane wants to stand and escape but instead Storm has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Storm being controlled here momentarily.
Storm looking to sit in guard and control but McFarlane gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McFarlane showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McFarlane trying to control the position from guard on top but Storm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McFarlane not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McFarlane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

McFarlane trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Storm wants to control but McFarlane is keeping busy and won't allow it.

McFarlane is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Storm reverses the position - he's now on top in McFarlane's guard.

Storm wants to control from the top but McFarlane keeps moving.
McFarlane wants to sweep here but Storm controlling him for the moment.
McFarlane is wriggling around but Storm manages to pass to half guard.
McFarlane wants to improve his position but Storm is controlling well.
Storm wants to take a breather but McFarlane is having none of it.
McFarlane keeping hold of Storm's head, controlling as best he can.

McFarlane is looking for a sweep. Storm is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

McFarlane shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Storm is trying to defend but McFarlane finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

McFarlane wants to work for an arm triangle but Storm is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McFarlane looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
McFarlane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are battling for position here. Storm manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

McFarlane slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

McFarlane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McFarlane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Storm swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Cletus McFarlane will probably get the nod.

Storm makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Storm.

McFarlane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Storm keeping moving, preventing McFarlane from controlling successfully.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Cletus McFarlane showed his dominance in that final round.
I think McFarlane has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
