The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
An elbow from Green crashes against the mat.

Green looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Green tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Green lands some shots froms side control.
Evans is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Green's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Evans is trying to stand.
The fighters are battling for position here. Evans manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Evans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Green doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Green manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Evans's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Green is holding on here and Evans must be using up a lot of energy. Green has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Evans gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
