The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calloway bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fernandez's head backwards.
Fernandez darts in trying to clinch
enabling Calloway to counter with a crisp jab.
Fernandez swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Calloway counters with a straight right hand.
Calloway takes a swing at Fernandez's ribcage but misses.
Calloway on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Fernandez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Calloway.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fernandez. Calloway does a little dance to reset his feet.
A little feinted left hand from Calloway on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Fernandez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Calloway's waist but Calloway gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fernandez off to one side.
Calloway scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
