The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David wants to clinch up but Wofford keeps it at a distance.
David thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wofford throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Wofford uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before David has time to react.
David lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
David fails in his attempt to clinch.
David looks for a takedown but Wofford sprawls well.
David looks to throw the jab but Wofford is out of range.
Wofford on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
David throws a chopping leg kick but Wofford manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A lazy body kick from David
and Wofford counters with a stiff right hand.
David doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wofford counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
David throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
enabling Wofford to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Thierri David has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
David tries to clinch but Wofford is having none of it.
Nice straight punches there by David. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of David.
David tries to close the distance and clinch but Wofford swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wofford lands with an uppercut that bounces David off the cage and back into range.

David is rocked!
Wofford drops David with a straight left! Oh this is bad for David! Wofford dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
