Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pultti Pyssy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Peterson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pyssy throws a looping overhand right but Peterson ducks down to avoid it.
Pyssy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Peterson.
Peterson throws a body punch but Pyssy moves out of range.
Peterson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pyssy manages to avoid it.

Pyssy seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Peterson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Pyssy fires out a quick counter leg kick but Peterson just manages to avoid it.

Nick Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pyssy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Peterson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Peterson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pyssy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Peterson.

Pyssy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pyssy is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Peterson!

Pyssy has control of Peterson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Peterson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Peterson is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Peterson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Peterson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Peterson stops Pyssy from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Pyssy jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Peterson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Peterson and Pyssy has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Pyssy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pyssy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close round but I would say that Pultti Pyssy will probably get the nod.

Pultti Pyssy was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
