The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Copslapper has the hooks in. Kururugi is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Kururugi tries to roll but Copslapper sticks to his back.
Copslapper really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Kururugi.
Copslapper's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Let's hope that Copslapper has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Copslapper.

I really don't envy Kururugi right now.
Kururugi is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The adventures of Copslapper the control monster continue. Boring.

Kururugi rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Copslapper is controlling the pace.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Copslapper working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Kururugi is looking to control Copslapper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kururugi avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Copslapper in particular looking to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Copslapper frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
