Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tomura Shigaraki (ranked 4035 p4p, 4828 weight class) and Tyler Veal (ranked 474 p4p, 525 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Veal!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veal connects with a nice looking jab.
A head kick from Veal lands but Shigaraki takes it in his stride.
Veal throws a head kick that misses.
Veal scores with a jab to the head.
Veal scores with a kick to the midsection.
A big right from Shigaraki misses.
Veal throws a body shot but no joy.
Veal lands a lovely overhand right.
Veal scores with a hook to the body. Shigaraki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Veal avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Veal scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Shigaraki looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Veal misses with a low kick as Shigaraki jumps back.
The fighters circle momentarily. Veal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Shigaraki loads up on a big right hand but Veal slips the punch.
Veal turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Veal wants to clinch.
Shigaraki misses with a right hand
and Veal counters with a head kick. That will keep Shigaraki thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Shigaraki throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Veal to counter with a crisp jab.

Shigaraki is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Veal.
Shigaraki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Veal scores with a body shot.

Veal misses with a wild body shot.
Shigaraki lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Veal connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shigaraki. Shigaraki circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Veal throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Shigaraki.

It looks like Tomura Shigaraki has been cut.
Shigaraki takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Shigaraki misses the jab.
Veal checks a leg kick.

Veal clinches up with Shigaraki and pushes him back against the cage.
Veal digs a right hand underneath Shigaraki's ribcage. Shigaraki let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Shigaraki.
Shigaraki lands a left hand that snaps the head of Veal backwards.
Shigaraki tries to work over Veal's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Veal can't find room to land a body shot as Shigaraki controls the action.

Shigaraki scores with a shoulder strike.
Veal lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Shigaraki backwards.
Veal blocks a body shot from Shigaraki.

Shigaraki jumps guard.
Veal tries to free his leg and advance position but Shigaraki is retaining full guard.
Shigaraki has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Veal has passed into side control.
Shigaraki is looking for a sweep.
Veal moves into full mount!
Veal looking to finish with strikes here!
Veal trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Shigaraki keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Veal manages to capitalize on a mistake by Shigaraki to take his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shigaraki is in bad spot here.
Well, with Veal on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Shigaraki is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Veal trying to control momentarily.
Veal slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
You can see the frustration on Shigaraki's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Veal has his arm under Shigaraki's chin here. Game over son! Veal squeezes tightly and Shigaraki is forced to tap out!
