Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danny Braxton (ranked 1186 p4p, 1357 weight class) and Arthur King (ranked 145 p4p, 162 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Braxton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur King!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braxton misses with an uppercut.
King tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Danga de danga de dang - Braxton scores with a four punch combination!
Braxton slips under a jab from King.
King has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Braxton.
King darts in looking for a takedown but Braxton gets double underhooks and turns King into the cage.
King throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Braxton checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Braxton tries to clinch but King moves away

and King counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by King.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Braxton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
King is working Braxton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
King landing with the ground and pound.
Braxton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Braxton is really struggling to control King but he's trying to hold on to the position.
King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
King trying to control but Braxton is working from the bottom.
Braxton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
King trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Braxton looking to hit a scissor sweep but King is one step ahead there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Braxton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Braxton works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
King is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Braxton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nice sprawl there from Braxton as King shoots in.
Braxton is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Braxton tries to sprawl but King drives through with a takedown into half guard.
King prevents Braxton from improving his position.
King scoring with strikes to the body and head.
King is nestled in close to Braxton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
King looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Braxton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Braxton is trying to get back to full guard.

King is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Braxton has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King is working for a kimura but Braxton is defending it quite comfortably.
King lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Braxton is staying active underneath King, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Braxton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Braxton slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Braxton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
King trying to control but Braxton is working from the bottom.

King drops back, looking for a kneebar! Braxton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Braxton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Braxton!

Braxton stands up and beckons King to his feet.
King connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Braxton momentarily.
King takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Braxton stuns King with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Braxton lands with a good body shot.
King dives in and grabs Braxton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Braxton pushes down on King's head and hops out.
Danny Braxton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arthur King.

Braxton moves into range and clinches up with King.
A short uppercut from King.
Braxton lands a shoulder strike.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
King is looking for a takedown.
Braxton lands a body shot in the clinch.
King tries a body shot but Braxton blocks it.
Braxton is working King over against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A head punch blocked on the inside by King.
King trying to stall but Braxton improves his position.
King wants a takedown but no success here.
Braxton misses with the head strike.

King breaks the clinch.
Danny Braxton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Braxton is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.
Braxton lands a glancing blow to the side of King's head.
Braxton explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
King tries to move into range but Braxton moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Braxton lands with a cross.

A low kick from King misses
and Braxton counters with a three punch combo that has King backing up. King nods at Braxton to acknowledge the strikes.
King gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

King is rocked!
Braxton looks for the body kick but King saw that one coming.
King checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
King tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Braxton throws an overhand right that lands on King's shoulder, as King tries to avoid the shot.
King looks to throw the jab but Braxton is out of range.
Braxton is looking to counter the offense by King and move into the clinch.
King scores with a nice strike.
Braxton throws a leg kick that misses.
King misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Braxton tries to counter by clinching up but King breaks away and moves out of range.
Braxton comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
King throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Braxton counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Braxton tries a knee to the head but King blocks it.

King has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Braxton clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Braxton is covering up but some of the strikes from King are getting through and doing damage.
You can see the frustration on Braxton's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
King wants to control the position but Braxton frees himself and scrambles - King manages to regain control in side control.

King looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
Braxton is trying to improve his position.
King working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Braxton manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
King moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
King is pulling down on Braxton's head to control his posture.
King looking for a sweep. Not yet King, not yet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Braxton dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

King throws a low kick but it's checked well by Braxton.
Braxton looks for the body kick but King saw that one coming.
King throws out a counter right but Braxton avoids it with no problem.
King tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Braxton swivels and escapes.
Braxton scores with a sloppy right hand. King should have avoided that one.
Braxton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Some wild striking there from Braxton.
King feints the counter takedown.
King misses the body punch
and Braxton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Braxton scores with a push kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Braxton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Braxton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Braxton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Braxton checks a leg kick.
Danny Braxton is winning the standup battle so far.

Braxton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nice cross by King.
Braxton connects with a jab.
King throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Braxton digs a good body shot into King's ribs.
Braxton clobbers King with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
King lands an overhand right.
King throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Braxton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
King fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Braxton checks it well.
A quick step to the side and Braxton tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Braxton throws a half hearted mid kick.
King feints the counter takedown.
Braxton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

King throws a leg kick
and Braxton counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
King misses the shot to the body.
Braxton feinted there with a counter leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Braxton. King does a little dance to reset his feet.
Braxton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Braxton uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before King has time to react.
King on the wrong end of a nice hook.
King ducks under a wild hook from Braxton.
Braxton lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
King gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Braxton counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Braxton looks at the referee who does nothing so Braxton lands a crushing right that sends King to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Braxton!
