Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reiner Blood (ranked 3282 p4p, 2769 weight class) and Chen Mei (ranked 403 p4p, 356 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

BRAZEN - Fight Gear

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chen Mei!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mei on the side of the head.
Blood shoots in looking for a takedown. Mei tries to sprawl out of it but Blood keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mei manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blood moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromMei.
Blood keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Blood.
Mei digs a good hook to Blood's body.
Blood takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Blood fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Mei fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Mei throws a series of strikes that have Blood backpedaling.

It looks like Reiner Blood has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Blood closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mei circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reiner Blood. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blood fails with a takedown attempt.
Blood is breathing heavily.
Mei scores with a sloppy right hand. Blood should have avoided that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blood. Mei does a little dance to reset his feet.
A jab from Blood finds it's way through Mei's defenses.
Mei pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mei lands with a right that hurts Blood. Blood looks to clinch but Mei throws a short knee that drops Blood. This one is all over!
