Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jah Nino (ranked 3246 p4p, 5505 weight class) and Chinweike Idowu (ranked 366 p4p, 517 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jah Nino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chinweike Idowu!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nino lands with a right hand.
Idowu with a poor takedown
and Nino counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Nino moves into the clinch.

Nino breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It looks like Chinweike Idowu has been cut.
Nino jumps guard but Idowu turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Idowu is trying to force a seperation but Nino has the dominant position.
Nino unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nino jumps into guard, dragging Idowu to the mat.
Nino bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Idowu's guard.


Nino gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Nino gets a clinch.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Nino.
Idowu tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nino just stands there and leans against the cage.

Nino wants to get back to his feet but Idowu is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Nino lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Idowu pushes Nino off and gets back to his feet.
Idowu throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Idowu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nino manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nino lands a really nice looking cross but Idowu seems unphased.

A short body shot lands from Nino as the two fighters clinch.

Nino jumps guard and drags Idowu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Idowu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nino pulls his head out easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nino is trying to control the action in half guard but Idowu is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Idowu is trying to maintain the position but Nino is very close to passing his half guard.

Nino closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Nino throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Idowu is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Idowu really wants to buck Nino off and get back to his feet.

We've been informed that Idowu has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Idowu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Idowu is desperately trying to improve his position but Nino has a good base and remains in mount.
Nino is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Idowu goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Nino!
