Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Bill Beukeboom (ranked 812 p4p, 1602 weight class) and Chaikka Chai (ranked 130 p4p, 234 weight class). Chai has chosen Dead Man Walking as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bill Beukeboom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Chaikka Chai!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beukeboom steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Chai. That one must have hurt.
Chai goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Bill Beukeboom has been cut.
Chai swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Beukeboom cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A telegraphed right hand from Chai misses the target.
Chai throws a hook but Beukeboom blocks it.
Beukeboom throws a right hand that misses
and Chai counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Beukeboom displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

It looks like Chaikka Chai has been cut.
Chai gets cracked there but stands up to it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Beukeboom throws a hook but Chai avoids it easily.
Chai looks to score with a jab to the body but Beukeboom is just out of range.
Beukeboom misses the shot to the body.
A nice side step and Chai releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Beukeboom misses with a body shot.
It seemed like Chai was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Beukeboom avoids the head kick by Chai.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Beukeboom doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Beukeboom connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Chai catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Beukeboom stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Beukeboom walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!
Beukeboom misses with a lunging right hand
and Chai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chai ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Chai throws a hook but Beukeboom blocks it.
Beukeboom was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Chai throws a sloppy head kick and Beukeboom moves out of range easily.
Beukeboom slips a jab from Chai.
Chai ducks under a wild hook from Beukeboom.
Chai doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Chai bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Chai circles away from the clinch attempt
and Chai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big right from Beukeboom misses.
Chai steps in and throws a big head kick that drops Beukeboom to the mat! Beukeboom looks in trouble, can he beat the count? Chai is bouncing in a neutral corner joining in with the referee '4,5,6' they both chant. 7,8,9... he's not going to make it! 10! He's out! Chai jumps onto the ropes and takes in the acclaim from the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Chaikka Chai!
