Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Phillip McGee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin King!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee swats away the attempt to clinch by King.
McGee lands a slapping body shot.
King throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGee.
McGee swings for the body but King moves out of range.
No joy there for King, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McGee tests King's chin there with a solid looking shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from McGee.
King lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Excellent takedown into side control there by McGee.
McGee is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King is looking to regain half guard here but McGee keeps moving and retains side control.
King is not content to let McGee control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
King tries to bench press McGee off him but McGee keeps the position.
McGee is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
King tries to clinch there but McGee circles away.
King ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGee jabs at King's body.
King throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McGee swats away the attempt to clinch by King.
McGee lands a right hook to the body.
A punch combination from King misses.
King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McGee slips a jab and a cross from King.
Nice body punch from McGee.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McGee paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A good leg kick by King.
King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McGee circles away quickly and effectively.
McGee connects with a looping right hand.
King throws a head kick but McGee moves out of range.
King pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McGee punishes King's body with a nice straight punch.
King looks to land a right hand but McGee moved out of range.
King throws a right hand that McGee ducks under and follows up with a left that McGee also avoids with ease.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McGee.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phillip McGee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King lands an overhand right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Phillip McGee will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


King throws a right and a left that both miss.
McGee changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
McGee moves out of range as King strikes.
King throws a series of punches but McGee avoids them all with ease.
King scores with a push kick.
King is looking to slow McGee down with leg kicks.
King wants to clinch.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by King.
McGee swings and misses with a hook to the body.

King tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McGee shoots in looking for a takedown. King tries to sprawl out of it but McGee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. King manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McGee jabs at King's body.
King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McGee keeps the fight on the outside.
King throws a series of punches but McGee avoids them all with ease.
McGee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McGee gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for McGee on that attempt.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

McGee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McGee misses with a straight left.
McGee thows a left - swing and a miss!
McGee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. King defends it nicely.
King tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

A big right from King misses.
King looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A nice inside leg kick there by King. That's going to slow McGee down.
McGee smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
King fails with an attempt to clinch.
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Martin King is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McGee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from King.
McGee is looking to wear down King with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
King uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McGee.

McGee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
McGee keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
King is looking for a sweep. McGee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

McGee takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
King wants to get back to full guard but McGee has mounted him!
King is desperately trying to improve his position but McGee has a good base and remains in mount.
King is squirming around, avoiding McGee's attempts to control the action.
King is working to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
King wants to control but McGee is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Martin King will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

McGee keeps the fight on the outside.
King scores with a leg kick.
King throws a nice outside leg kick.
McGee looks for a takedown but King sprawls well.
McGee swings for the body but King moves out of range.
A shot to de liver by King. Beautiful body shot.
McGee throws out a loose jab but King uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McGee crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from King - the referee stops the clock and McGee gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says King. McGee manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

McGee steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from King. That one must have hurt.
A head kick misses from King.
King throws a body punch but McGee moves out of range.
King is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
King swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A big left from McGee misses.
King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
King works over McGee's head and body with a nice combination.
Martin King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
King fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
King moves in looking to clinch but McGee pushes him off.
Martin King seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A decent looking cross lands there for King.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
King tries to close the distance and clinch up but McGee swats him away and circles back towards the center.
King throws a right and a left that McGee avoids nicely.
King throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
King fails to land with a series of punches.
McGee swats away the attempt to clinch by King.
A big left from King misses.
King throws a right and a left that both miss.
King tries to clinch there but McGee circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGee thows a left - swing and a miss!
McGee moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Left hook, right uppercut from King.
McGee moves out of range of the strikes.
King wants to clinch up but McGee keeps it at a distance.
King fails in his attempt to clinch.
King throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGee misses with a telegraphed body shot
and King counters with a nice leg kick.
McGee misses with a hook. King ducked under it nicely.
King stuns McGee with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
King tries to clinch but McGee moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
McGee shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
King scores with a leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
King moves out of range as McGee strikes.
King throws a leg kick which misses McGee's front leg but catches the back leg as McGee tries to avoid it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McGee walks into a straight right hand from King.
King throws a half hearted mid kick.
King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McGee circles away quickly and effectively.

And that's the end of the fight!
Martin King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think King has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
