Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Deane (ranked 628 p4p, 1139 weight class) and Giant Benandonner (ranked 36 p4p, 66 weight class). Deane kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cinderella Man. Calvin Deane could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Giant Benandonner's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Calvin Deane!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Giant Benandonner!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deane fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Benandonner avoids it really well and circles away.
Deane looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Benandonner uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Benandonner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Deane appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Benandonner lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Benandonner tries to stand but Deane is controlling from the bottom.
Benandonner stands and steps away. Deane gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Benandonner thuds a left hand into Deane's body.

Deane fails with the takedown
and Benandonner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Calvin Deane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Deane shoots in but no luck this time.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Deane is defended easily by Benandonner.
Deane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Benandonner is fending him off so far but Deane persists. Nope, Benandonner circles away and we're back to standing.
Benandonner lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Calvin Deane has been cut.

Benandonner throws an overhand right that lands on Deane's shoulder, as Deane tries to avoid the shot.

Deane manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Benandonner on his heels. He'll look to pass Benandonner's guard now, I'm sure.
Benandonner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Deane gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Benandonner is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Deane frees his head nicely. Oh but Benandonner has switched to an armbar! Deane is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Our winner, Giant Benandonner, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
