Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Claudio Castagnoli (ranked 2248 p4p, 2094 weight class) and Egor Kuznecov (ranked 264 p4p, 243 weight class). Castagnoli comes into the arena with James Bond Theme blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Kuznecov misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Castagnoli misses the target.
Castagnoli needs to keep his hands up - Kuznecov had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Claudio Castagnoli has been cut.
Castagnoli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kuznecov swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Castagnoli slips under a jab from Kuznecov.
Castagnoli was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Castagnoli throws a nice looking combination but Kuznecov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Castagnoli misses with an uppercut.
Kuznecov circles away from the clinch attempt

and Kuznecov counters with a takedown into side control.
Kuznecov in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Castagnoli looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Kuznecov turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
