Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Griffin moves into the clinch.
Wallace jumps guard but Griffin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Griffin lands a damaging elbow.
Griffin lands an elbow inside that Wallace shrugs off.
Griffin lands a damaging elbow.
Wallace fails to pull guard.
Wallace wants to stall.
Wallace has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Griffin after a bit of a struggle.
We've been hearing reports that Wallace has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wallace is breathing heavily.
Griffin lands an elbow inside.
Wallace jumps guard but Griffin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Griffin works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Griffin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Griffin lands a big head kick that sends Wallace tumbling to the mat! Griffin takes a step backwards and waves Wallace back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wallace is rocked!

It looks like William Wallace has been cut.
Griffin thows a body kick. Wallace tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Oh Wallace is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Griffin clinches up with Wallace and pushes him back against the cage.
Griffin gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Griffin lands an elbow inside that Wallace shrugs off.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Griffin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Griffin is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Wallace flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Wallace is out cold! Griffin holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Griffin!
During a confident post fight interview, Chris Griffin thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
