Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hamed Juniorss (ranked 1429 p4p, 2381 weight class) and Javontonius Smiff (ranked 218 p4p, 330 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Javontonius Smiff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juniorss lands a right hook to the body.

Smiff shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Juniorss is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smiff is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Juniorss is aware though and is defending well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Smiff takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Smiff takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Juniorss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smiff.

Juniorss drops Smiff with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Smiff looks back up at him and smiles so Juniorss waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Smiff is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
