PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geter Done (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asmodeus Godraker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Godraker has chosen Set Fire to the Hive as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Geter Done has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Geter Done seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geter Done!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Asmodeus Godraker!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godraker throws a wild body kick that Done sees coming a mile off.

Done shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Godraker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Done is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Godraker is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Done drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Godraker dives on top into guard.
Godraker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Godraker won't allow Done to get back to his feet.
Godraker slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Done.
Godraker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Done. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Godraker decides to stand and escape the position.
Done closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Asmodeus Godraker has been cut.
Nice combo by Godraker! Oh, that's hurt him - Done falls to the canvas and Godraker follows him into side control.

Done is rocked!

It looks like Geter Done has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Done is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Oh Done is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Done seems to have got his legs back now.
Godraker throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Godraker has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A combination from Done does no damage.
Godraker throws a leg kick but Done sees it coming and moves out of range.
Godraker misses with a looping left.
Godraker tries to clinch but Done is having none of it.
Godraker looks gassed!
Godraker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Done on the side of the head.

Done shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Godraker's guard.
Godraker is looking to stand up but Done isn't so interested in that idea.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Godraker punching from the bottom.
Done won't allow Godraker to get back to his feet.
Done wants to pass the guard but Godraker is keeping the position.
Godraker wants to stand and escape but Done is having none of it.
Godraker keeping moving, preventing Done from controlling successfully.

Done stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Godraker gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Done decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Godraker, up you get!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Done drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Done is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Godraker is trying to escape and Done transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Godraker is forced to tap! Nice work there by Done! Very nice indeed!
