Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Van Ines (ranked 5326 p4p, 24591 weight class) and Flash Spooner (ranked 361 p4p, 382 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing good reports from Ines's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Ines has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ines fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Spooner sprawls well initially but Ines persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ines has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Spooner defend it? Ines steps over the head and cranks it - Spooner is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ines!
