Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bob Probert (ranked 396 p4p, 815 weight class) and Robbie McBobbie (ranked 32 p4p, 68 weight class). Probert comes to the cage accompanied by DNA. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Probert!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robbie McBobbie!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by McBobbie as he connects with a hook.
A telegraphed right hand from McBobbie misses the target.
Probert uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McBobbie has time to react.
Probert drops his hands momentarily and McBobbie takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Probert tries to move into range but McBobbie moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Probert has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Rubber Guard Emporium in the buildup to the fight.
McBobbie checks the leg kick nicely there.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McBobbie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and McBobbie connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, McBobbie creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

McBobbie is trying to control. Probert wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Probert keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Probert tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McBobbie paws at him with a jab and circles away.

McBobbie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Probert's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bob Probert will probably get the nod.

Probert lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McBobbie shoots in for a takedown but Probert shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

McBobbie is rocked!
McBobbie drops his hands for a split second and Probert immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into McBobbie face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Probert follows up with a right hand that knocks McBobbie into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bob Probert!
