The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Dory.
Cid is looking to clinch.
Cid defending well as Dory loads up on a big left hand.
Cid attempts a counter takedown but Dory avoids it well and moves away.
Dory lands a lovely overhand right.
Dory swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cid takes a jab right on the kisser.
Cid tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dory paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dory leaves Cid with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dory lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Dory throws a shot to the body.
Dory's corner calls for a 1-2. Dory obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
John Dory is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A left lands for Dory.
Cid misses with a takedown
and Dory counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Cid is rocked!
Dory cracks a nice hook into Cid's ribs.
Cid fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sandi Cid. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dory throws a series of punches but Cid moves out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dory.
Dory throws a monster overhand right that drops Cid! Dory follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
