Zion comes to the cage accompanied by Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards - 1%. Angus MacAngus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zion drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Zion steps to the side to avoid the strikes from MacAngus.

Zion throws a low kick but it's checked well by MacAngus.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zion throws a left and a right that both miss
and Zion takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Zion clinches.

MacAngus tightens his grip and picks Zion up, before dumping him to the ground. Zion manages to land in guard.

Zion knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for MacAngus on the ground.

MacAngus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Zion is looking for a sweep. MacAngus is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
MacAngus looks to land a strike but Zion avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

MacAngus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Zion has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of MacAngus is proving hard to escape from.
