Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bastien Harris (ranked 1155 p4p, 1294 weight class) and Akahoshi Hisashi (ranked 162 p4p, 185 weight class). Hisashi has chosen Feng Shui as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bastien Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Akahoshi Hisashi!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hisashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hisashi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Harris.
Hisashi throws a big shot that misses.
Hisashi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Harris swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Hisashi connects with a jab.

Hisashi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Harris, pushing him back against the cage.
Harris wants to break free but Hisashi has control.
Hisashi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Harris misses with a hook from the clinch.
Harris lands a body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hisashi prevents Harris from breaking the clinch.
Harris is looking to break free of the clinch but Hisashi has double underhooks.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harris looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nice straight punches there by Harris. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Harris.

Harris on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Hisashi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The crowd cheers as Hisashi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Harris doesn't seem phased though.

Hisashi cracks Harris with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Akahoshi Hisashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hisashi misses with a right hand
and Harris connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hisashi lands with an overhand left.

Harris is rocked!
Hisashi moves in looking to clinch but Harris pushes him off.
Hisashi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Harris.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harris fires out a quick counter leg kick but Hisashi just manages to avoid it.

and Harris counters with a stiff right hand.

Hisashi cracks Harris with a good jab.
Hisashi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Harris.
Oh Harris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hisashi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Harris seems to have got his legs back now.
Hisashi missing with a left hand there. Harris was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Harris steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hisashi.

and Harris counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Akahoshi Hisashi dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Hisashi paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hisashi throws an overhand right that lands on Harris's shoulder, as Harris tries to avoid the shot.
Harris fires out a quick counter leg kick but Hisashi just manages to avoid it.
Harris avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Harris keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hisashi.
Hisashi lands with a cross.
Hisashi tries to clinch up.
Harris lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hisashi's sensitive parts.
Hisashi might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Harris counters with a crisp right that sends Hisashi to the canvas! Harris follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
