Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Trey Burrell (ranked 4202 p4p, 4160 weight class) and Ben Baily (ranked 0 p4p, 271 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trey Burrell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Baily!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baily scores with a one two! Burrell had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Burrell pushes Baily up against the cage in a clinch.
Baily is trying to break the clinch but Burrell has him pressed against the cage.
Burrell is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Baily wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Burrell has him pressed against the cage.
Baily is trying to break the clinch but Burrell is controlling him.

Burrell fails to land the takedown.
Burrell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Baily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baily rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Burrell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Baily works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Baily swats away the attempt to clinch by Burrell.

and Baily counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Burrell thinking.

and Baily counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Burrell thinking.

Burrell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Baily manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Baily is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Burrell rather than just go for the knockout.

Burrell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Burrell is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Baily pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Burrell is breathing heavily.
Baily can't break the clinch.
Baily tries to break free but Burrell pushes him back against the cage.
Baily is looking to break free of the clinch but Burrell has double underhooks.

Burrell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Baily throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Burrell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

A left and a right from Baily both land. Nice combination.
Burrell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Baily slaps away a takedown attempt from Burrell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Baily pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Burrell back to the cage. Baily follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Burrell gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ben Baily seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Burrell doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Baily counters with a left to the body.
Baily throws a nice looking combination but Burrell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Burrell misses with a hook.

and Baily counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Baily looks to score with a jab to the body but Burrell is just out of range.
Baily ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burrell moves away.

Baily lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Baily stalks Burrell and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Burrell's face. Burrell staggers backwards, shaken.

Baily is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Burrell with a body shot.

Burrell rushes Baily and presses him up against the cage.
Burrell slows down the pace here.
Baily tries to circle away but Burrell has him pinned against the cage.

Burrell jumps guard and drags Baily to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Baily would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Baily trying to control the position from guard on top but Burrell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Burrell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Baily manages to get himself to full guard.

Burrell is looking to work some ground and pound but Baily has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baily wants to stand up but Burrell is controlling him.

Baily looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Burrell wants to control from the top but Baily keeps moving.
Burrell is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Baily is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Burrell connects with a couple of short punches.

Baily is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burrell defends well.
Baily looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Burrell takes one on the button.
Baily throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Baily throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Baily scores with a body shot.
Baily slaps away a takedown attempt from Burrell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Baily throws a right and a left that both miss.
Burrell fires out a quick counter leg kick but Baily just manages to avoid it.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Baily showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Burrell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Burrell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Burrell on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nice sprawl there from Baily as Burrell shoots in.
Burrell shoots in looking for a takedown but Baily manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Burrell's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Baily feints a jab promting Burrell to slip. Baily then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Burrell slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Baily lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Burrell is rocked!

and Baily counters with a big right hand! Oh Burrell is in trouble here! Baily follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Baily!
