Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampage Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rampage Penn has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Daniel Cack's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Cack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rampage Penn!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cack scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Cack prevents Penn from escaping the position.
Cack working the ground and pound but Penn is defending the strikes.
Penn is trying to improve his position.
Cack throws an elbow but Penn slips to the side and avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Penn is looking to regain half guard here but Cack keeps moving and retains side control.
Penn is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cack is controlling him well.
Cack moves into full mount!
Penn in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Cack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Penn regains half guard.
Penn trying to control from the bottom.
Cack stops Penn from getting back to his feet.

Penn trying to hold on to Cack's head to control him but Cack postures up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cack is looking for a kimura but Penn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cack to get the leverage.
Cack wants to free his trapped foot but Penn is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A head kick misses from Cack.

Cack shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Cack is breathing heavily.
Cack passes to full mount!

Cack avoids the attempt from Penn to control.
Penn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Cack can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Penn is looking to escape.
Penn is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cack takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Penn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Penn fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Penn feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cack's calf.
Penn wants to clinch up but Cack keeps it at a distance.
Penn misses with a takedown

and Cack counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Cack prevents Penn from improving his position.
Cack moves nicely into side control.
Cack tries to move to mount but Penn blocks the move with his legs.

Cack tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Penn is trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Penn is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Penn throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Penn fails to land the takedown.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Cack takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Penn scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Penn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Cack counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Penn's guard now.
Daniel Cack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rampage Penn.

Penn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Penn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cack is one step ahead there.
Cack stops Penn from standing up.

Penn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cack could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cack tries to free his leg and advance position but Penn is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Penn shoots in for a takedown but Cack shows good takedown defense.
Cack falls off balance throwing a combination
and Penn counters with a right hand to the body.
Penn fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Horrible takedown by Penn or perhaps it was just good defense by Cack which made him look bad.
Penn throws a nice looking combination but Cack bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Penn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cack's waist but Cack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Penn off to one side.

Penn gets caught flat footed, as Cack shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Cack dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Penn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Cack shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Penn's guard.

Penn tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Cack has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Penn tries to hold on but Cack postures up.

Cack breaks from Penn's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Penn tries to reverse the position but Cack maintains control.

Cack jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Penn manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Cack tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cack swings around for an armbar but Penn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Cack's guard.

Cack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Penn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Penn is looking to work some ground and pound but Cack has wrist control.
Rampage Penn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Penn lands a two punch combo.
Penn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Rampage Penn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A nice combination there by Penn.
Cack has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Penn lands a two punch combo.
Penn lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Penn.
Penn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Penn moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Cack is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Penn.
Cack shoots in but no luck this time.
Penn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cack as he jumps to the side.
Danga de danga de dang - Penn scores with a four punch combination!
Penn tries for a takedown but Cack sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Daniel Cack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rampage Penn.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cack ducks right into an uppercut from Penn.
Penn with a nice cross.
Nice uppercut lands for Penn. That snapped Cack's head back.
Penn moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Penn forces Cack back against the cage and clinches.
Penn wants to break the clinch but can't.
Penn wants to break free but Cack has control.
Penn is looking to break free of the clinch but Cack has double underhooks.
Penn lands an uppercut.
Daniel Cack is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Cack fails to pull guard.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Cack.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rampage Penn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cack has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
