Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu (ranked 1060 p4p, 722 weight class) and Brendon Carrillo-Moreno (ranked 80 p4p, 56 weight class). Fukumitsu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is help_urself. Brendon Carrillo-Moreno has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Brendon Carrillo-Moreno!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carrillo-Moreno fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fukumitsu on the side of the head.
Carrillo-Moreno moves out of range as Fukumitsu strikes.

Carrillo-Moreno closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fukumitsu to the mat! Fukumitsu manages to get full guard.
Fukumitsu wants to stand up but Carrillo-Moreno is controlling him.
Carrillo-Moreno tries to free his leg and advance position but Fukumitsu is retaining full guard.
Fukumitsu wants to stand up but Carrillo-Moreno is controlling him.
Fukumitsu has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carrillo-Moreno shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fukumitsu as he jumps to the side.
Carrillo-Moreno throws a looping overhand right but Fukumitsu ducks down to avoid it.

Fukumitsu looks to land a right hand but Carrillo-Moreno moved out of range.
Carrillo-Moreno fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fukumitsu seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Fukumitsu thows a left - swing and a miss!
Carrillo-Moreno dives in for a single leg takedown but Fukumitsu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brendon Carrillo-Moreno.
Carrillo-Moreno throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Fukumitsu to counter with a crisp jab.
Carrillo-Moreno tries for a takedown but Fukumitsu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fukumitsu throws out a loose jab but Carrillo-Moreno uses good head movement to avoid it.
Carrillo-Moreno drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Fukumitsu defends it well.

Carrillo-Moreno has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fukumitsu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carrillo-Moreno dives in and grabs Fukumitsu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fukumitsu pushes down on Carrillo-Moreno's head and hops out.

and Fukumitsu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Carrillo-Moreno throws a hook but Fukumitsu avoids it easily.

Carrillo-Moreno shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fukumitsu wants to get back to his feet but Carrillo-Moreno is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Carrillo-Moreno drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fukumitsu dives on top into guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fukumitsu tries to stand but Carrillo-Moreno is controlling from the bottom.
Carrillo-Moreno will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fukumitsu would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fukumitsu stalks Carrillo-Moreno and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Carrillo-Moreno's face. Carrillo-Moreno staggers backwards, shaken.
Fukumitsu throws the left hand but Carrillo-Moreno avoids the punch easily.
Fukumitsu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fukumitsu throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Carrillo-Moreno shoots in for a takedown but Fukumitsu shows good takedown defense.
Fukumitsu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carrillo-Moreno sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fukumitsu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A jab from Fukumitsu misses.

Carrillo-Moreno shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fukumitsu's guard.
Fukumitsu wants to get back to his feet but Carrillo-Moreno is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Carrillo-Moreno shoots in and drives through. Fukumitsu sprawls well.
Carrillo-Moreno moves out of range as Fukumitsu strikes.
Fukumitsu jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Carrillo-Moreno looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Carrillo-Moreno shoots for a double leg takedown but Fukumitsu sprawls well. He's pushed Carrillo-Moreno's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fukumitsu is looking to counter punch.

Carrillo-Moreno feints and as Fukumitsu raises his hands in defense, Carrillo-Moreno changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fukumitsu wants to stand and escape but Carrillo-Moreno is having none of it.

Carrillo-Moreno has his foot on Fukumitsu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fukumitsu works his way back into a safe position though.

Fukumitsu is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Carrillo-Moreno slips a jab from Fukumitsu.
Carrillo-Moreno drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Fukumitsu defends it well.

Carrillo-Moreno fails to land the takedown.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Carrillo-Moreno wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fukumitsu keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Carrillo-Moreno fails with the takedown
and Fukumitsu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fukumitsu lands a really nice looking cross but Carrillo-Moreno seems unphased.

Carrillo-Moreno changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fukumitsu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Carrillo-Moreno is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fukumitsu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Carrillo-Moreno has an Americana. Fukumitsu didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Carrillo-Moreno is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Carrillo-Moreno hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Brendon Carrillo-Moreno!
