Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony D Amico!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaleb Strader!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

D Amico shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
D Amico slips a nice elbow through Strader's hands, connecting with Strader's forehead.
Strader throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
D Amico seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Strader does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
D Amico drops an elbow to the side of Strader's head.
Strader is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
D Amico lands strikes from half guard.
Strader is trying to defend against the ground and pound but D Amico scores with a couple of nice shots.
Strader wants to control but D Amico is keeping busy.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
D Amico is nestled in close to Strader, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Strader is rocked!

Strader is still in real trouble! Can D Amico finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Strader is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
D Amico is controlling the pace.
D Amico working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's one minute gone in the round.
D Amico passes to full mount!
Strader seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strader is looking to improve his position but D Amico isn't that keen on the idea.
D Amico scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Strader takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! D Amico's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony D Amico!
