Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lutalo Hajjar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant comes to the cage accompanied by Beanie (Mack B****). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hajjar was well out of range. Poor timing from Grant.

Grant escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hajjar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Grant is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Grant holds on and takes a little breather.

Grant is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hajjar wants to control but Grant is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grant is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hajjar has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hajjar is doing well to control the position and prevent Grant from advancing to side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Hajjar is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Grant scores with a couple of nice shots.

Grant lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hajjar circles away quickly and effectively.

Horrible takedown by Hajjar or perhaps it was just good defense by Grant which made him look bad.

Hajjar is sitting in close to Grant's body. Grant has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hajjar is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hajjar is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Grant.
