Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Tashinchev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Trill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ruslan Tashinchev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hank Trill!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tashinchev clinches with his opponent.
Tashinchev lands a body punch in the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Trill tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Tashinchev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tashinchev is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Tashinchev is looking for a kimura but Trill is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tashinchev to get the leverage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Trill is looking for a sweep. Tashinchev is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tashinchev lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Trill is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tashinchev scores with a couple of nice shots.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Trill takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Tashinchev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Trill, pushing him back against the cage.

Tashinchev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tashinchev tries to clinch but Trill is having none of it.

Trill swings wildly with an uppercut but Tashinchev uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tashinchev fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tashinchev drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Trill gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Tashinchev manages to break the clinch.

Trill wants to break free but Tashinchev has control.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Trill.
Tashinchev has Trill pressed against the cage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Trill wants to control from the top but Tashinchev keeps moving.

Trill has gone for a leg lock! Tashinchev slips out almost immediately though and dives into Trill's guard.

Trill has his foot on Tashinchev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tashinchev works his way back into a safe position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Trill wants to sweep but no luck.
Tashinchev not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Tashinchev is in close to Trill's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Tashinchev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Tashinchev's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Tashinchev wants to pass the guard but Trill is keeping the position.

Tashinchev closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tashinchev is on top in guard.
Trill wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Trill doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Tashinchev holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Trill.
Trill throws a head punch that misses.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Tashinchev.
Trill misses with the head strike.
Tashinchev lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A right handed body shot lands from Tashinchev.
Tashinchev with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
The referee calls for Tashinchev to work.

Tashinchev has hold of one of Trill's legs. Trill is fighting the takedown attempt but Tashinchev gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Tashinchev is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tashinchev is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Trill can do to turn this around?
Tashinchev stands and throws Trill's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Trill is looking to regain half guard here but Tashinchev keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Trill's face as Tashinchev controls the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Trill can't escape the position.
Tashinchev looking to control and managing it successfully.
Trill is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Tashinchev cracks Trill with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Trill is looking to get to half guard.
Trill throwing hammer fists to the chest of Tashinchev. What's that going to do exactly?

Trill really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Tashinchev controlling his opponent.
Tashinchev punishing his opponent with strikes.
Tashinchev sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Tashinchev seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Trill for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Trill keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tashinchev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Trill throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Ruslan Tashinchev is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tashinchev has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well Tashinchev has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
