The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luciano blocks a head kick by Casanova.
Luciano throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Luciano cracks Casanova with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Luciano needs to keep his hands up - Casanova had a free shot at his head there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Luciano decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Casanova is looking for a sweep. Luciano is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Luciano lands a nice short elbow.
Casanova tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Luciano has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Casanova is trying desperately to improve position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Luciano lands a jab to Casanova's midsection.
Luciano shoots for a double leg takedown but Casanova sprawls well. He's pushed Luciano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Casanova closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Casanova lands in his opponent's guard.

Luciano has his foot on Casanova's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Casanova works his way back into a safe position though.
Luciano bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Casanova's guard.

Luciano drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Luciano seems to have locked his on tight now - Casanova screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Luciano, as he picks up the win!
