Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Boyd Crowder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Horus Anubis!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowder closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Anubis did well to prevent Crowder getting side control.
Crowder is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Anubis looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Crowder is nestled in close to Anubis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Crowder connects with a nice short shot to Anubis's temple.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Crowder takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Crowder looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Anubis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Crowder is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crowder is looking for a kimura but Anubis is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Crowder to get the leverage.

Crowder slips a nice elbow through Anubis's hands, connecting with Anubis's forehead.

Crowder uses his free foot to push down on Anubis's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Anubis.

Anubis tries to lock up and control but Crowder gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Crowder pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Anubis is in a horrible position here. Crowder smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Crowder prevents Anubis from getting the reversal.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Anubis is bucking up trying to escape but Crowder cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Anubis is still in real trouble! Can Crowder finish him?
Crowder looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Anubis covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
