The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kronke ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jake Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
An inside leg kick lands from Kronke.
Smith checks the leg kick.
Smith is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Smith chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kronke can pounce on him.
Kronke is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kronke swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kronke throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Kronke on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Nice body kick there by Smith.
Smith avoids a punch combination nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kronke throws a jab when Smith was well out of range.
Smith tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Smith slips a jab and a cross from Kronke.
Kronke throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily.
Kronke getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Smith takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Smith dodges the punch combination from Kronke.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith throws a body punch but Kronke moves out of range.
Kronke is looking for a counter combo.

Kronke tries to sprawl but Smith drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Smith missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Smith is looking for a kimura but Kronke is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smith to get the leverage.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Kronke's temple.
Smith works his foot free and advances to mount.

Smith wants to finish this one by submission but Kronke is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Smith.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Smith!
