Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ian Gary (ranked 25060 p4p, 24991 weight class) and Harry Livingstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harry Livingstone is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ian Gary!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Harry Livingstone!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gary misses with a takedown attempt - Livingstone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gary.
Livingstone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Gary is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Livingstone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gary doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Livingstone.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Livingstone working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Livingstone is controlling the pace.
Gary is controlling Livingstone's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Livingstone is trying to control. Gary wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gary misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Gary wants to improve his position but Livingstone is controlling well.

Livingstone looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Livingstone is looking to take a break and control but Gary is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gary kicks off Livingstone and gets to his feet.
Livingstone defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gary.
Gary is breathing heavily.

Livingstone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Livingstone lands a decent elbow from side control.
Gary tries to buck Livingstone off but Livingstone is having none of it.
Livingstone is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gary's shoulder. That is not cool.

Gary is looking for a sweep.
Gary on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Livingstone advances to mount.
Livingstone lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gary keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Livingstone tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Livingstone drives through with a takedown into guard.

Livingstone stands and steps away. Gary gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Livingstone throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gary tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Livingstone is in Gary's guard.

Gary is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Livingstone presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Livingstone wants to take the fight to the mat but Gary manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Gary breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gary closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Livingstone quickly recovers to half guard.
Gary trying to mount his opponent but Livingstone defends it.
Gary is stalling here. Livingstone is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gary seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Livingstone has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Gary sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Livingstone prevents Gary from improving his position.
Livingstone wants to take a breather but Gary is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gary trying to get back to full guard but Livingstone takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Livingstone stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Livingstone shoots in and bounces Gary off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gary wants to get back to his feet but Livingstone passes into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Gary tries to roll over but Livingstone keeps him under control.
Gary pushes Livingstone off looking to stand but Livingstone dives back in and keeps control.
Livingstone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Gary wants to control but Livingstone is keeping busy.

Livingstone stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Gary shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gary was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Livingstone is trying to get back to his feet.
Harry Livingstone has got the better of the ground game so far.

Gary decides to stand up, so the ref orders Livingstone to his feet.

and Livingstone counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Gary trying to stall but Livingstone improves his position.

Gary manages to break the clinch.

Gary rushes Livingstone and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gary tries to pull guard but Livingstone won't allow it.
Livingstone landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Gary takes an elbow to the temple.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Harry Livingstone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Livingstone tries for a takedown but Gary circles away easily

and Gary counters by moving into the clinch.
Gary tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Livingstone smiles and moves away.

Gary feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Livingstone has his feet on Gary's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Gary pushes Livingstone off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gary fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gary really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Livingstone fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gary avoids it really well and circles away.

Gary fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Livingstone, pushing him back against the cage.

Ian Gary has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Livingstone.

Gary's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gary bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Livingstone is looking to regain half guard here but Gary keeps moving and retains side control.

Gary decides to stand back up. Gary steps back and let's Livingstone get back to his feet.
Gary displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Livingstone.
Gary leaves Livingstone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gary fails to land the takedown.

Gary clinches.
Gary throws a knee to the head but misses.

Livingstone pulls guard successfully.
Gary slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Livingstone looking for a sweep but Gary has passed into full mount! Oh no!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gary lands a big shot there that rocks Livingstone but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Livingstone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Gary trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Gary moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Livingstone has worked his arm free - good work by Livingstone!
Livingstone tries to get back to half guard but can't.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ian Gary showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Livingstone has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
