Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caiden Banks (ranked 5606 p4p, 2716 weight class) and Ripp Colton (ranked 266 p4p, 135 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Caiden Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ripp Colton!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Colton clinches with his opponent.

Colton decides to pull guard.
Banks wants to control from the top but Colton keeps moving.

Colton looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Banks passes into side control.
Colton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Banks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Banks is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Colton is looking to reverse the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Banks remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Banks tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Colton is trying to improve his position.
Banks tries to move into full mount but can't pass Colton's legs.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Banks gets to mount! Colton was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Colton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Banks takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Colton has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Colton is working to get back to half guard.

Banks controlling the pace for now.
Colton is desperately trying to improve his position but Banks has a good base and remains in mount.
Colton tries to lock up and control but Banks gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Colton is breathing heavily.

Colton wants to hold on but Banks pushes him away.

Colton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Banks is keen to just control but Colton is a slippery customer.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Banks perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Colton moves into the clinch.

Banks pulls guard successfully.
Banks is pulling down on Colton's head to control his posture.
Banks has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Banks is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Colton defends well.

Colton sitting in guard here, content to control.

Banks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Colton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Colton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Banks is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Colton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Banks is looking to control Colton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Banks avoid being mounted?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Colton takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Banks is really struggling to control Colton but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Banks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Banks can't keep his opponent in guard - Colton advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Banks trying to hold on to Colton's head to control him but Colton postures up.
Banks is pressing down on Colton's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Colton is looking to work some ground and pound but Banks has wrist control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Colton clinches up against the cage.
Banks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Colton can do to turn this around?
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Colton pulls guard effortlessly.
Banks wants to pass the guard but Colton is keeping the position.
Ripp Colton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Caiden Banks is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ripp Colton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Banks has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
