Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rayan Brandt (ranked 3194 p4p, 3879 weight class) and Jack Skull (ranked 407 p4p, 462 weight class). Skull is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Another one bites the dust. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Skull!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandt lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Brandt ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Brandt dives in and scores a takedown into Skull's guard.
Brandt passes Skull's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Brandt looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Skull with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've been hearing that Brandt has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Brandt perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Brandt wants to work for an arm triangle but Skull is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Skull is trying is best to control the position here.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Brandt winds up and cracks Skull with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Brandt is looking to advance position but Skull won't allow it.

Brandt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brandt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Brandt passes into side control, despite Skull's attempt to control the position.

Brandt is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Skull will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brandt postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Skull looks a forlorn figure.

Skull is bucking up trying to escape but Brandt cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Brandt is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Skull has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Brandt cracks Skull with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brandt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Skull for as long as he can get away with.
