Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Short (ranked 300 p4p, 1018 weight class) and Robbie Hall (ranked 14 p4p, 38 weight class). Short comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger. Hall has chosen Andy Shauf: The Magician as his entrance music. Robbie Hall will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jerry Short!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Robbie Hall!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Short looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hall is fending him off so far but Short persists. Nope, Hall circles away and we're back to standing.
Hall with the counter takedown but Short avoids it easily.

Short looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hall!
Short taking a breather here.

Short is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hall is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've been hearing good reports from Short's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Hall manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Short wants to control but Hall is keeping him busy.

Short is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hall is just riding it out for now. Short eventually gives up the hold.
Short is trying to control. Hall wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Short pulls his head out easily.

Hall looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hall tries to roll over but Short keeps him under control.

Hall looking for subs from the bottom but Short mounts him!

Short has hold of Hall's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hall manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Short wants to control the pace but Hall is squirming around nicely.
Hall is trying desperately to improve position.
Short scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Short tries to control but Hall wriggling away.
Hall is trying to reverse the position but instead Short has taken his back - oops!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Can Hall hold on?! Short is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Short is hanging on to Hall's back as he tries to escape.
Hall manages to reverse the position and now he's in Short's guard. Nice work there by Hall.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Short is looking for a triangle but Hall pushes his legs off easily.

Short working for submissions but it's allowed Hall to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Short wants to get back to full guard.

Short looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Short actively working from the bottom here.

Hall is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Hall is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Short trying to control but Hall postures up.
Short is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Short doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hall.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Short is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hall pulls his head out easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jerry Short dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Short fails with the takedown.

Short dives in and scores a takedown into Hall's guard.
Short tries to free his leg and advance position but Hall is retaining full guard.
Short postures up and lands a big shot to Hall's brow.

Hall looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Short might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Short drops back looking for a leg! Hall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hall manages to kick Short off! Short jumps back into Hall's guard.
Short is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hall can do to turn this around?

Hall looking for a triangle here. Short is fighting it but it looks tight! Hall pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Short is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Robbie Hall!
Robbie Hall tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
