Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sal Rollins!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins shoots and misses
and Jones counters with a left to the body.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rollins swivels and escapes.
Rollins is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rollins defends well and Jones ends up having to push Rollins into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Rollins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rollins shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Rollins is looking to clinch.
Rollins fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jon Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sal Rollins.

Rollins has closed the distance and engaged Jones in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rollins is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jones is defending well for now.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rollins throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Rollins, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Rollins against the ropes but Rollins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jones moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromRollins.
Rollins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Rollins sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rollins looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Jones looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rollins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the ropes. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rollins gets tackled into the ropes by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch.
Jones is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rollins stuffs the takedown.
Rollins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rollins.

Rollins jumps guard but Jones stands there with Rollins around his waist. Rollins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jones has Rollins pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Rollins manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rollins will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jones up against the ropes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jon Jones will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Rollins has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.

Rollins has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Rollins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rollins goes for a double leg but Jones avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Jones continues to drive forward.
Jon Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Rollins, which made it look bad.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Rollins, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Rollins against the ropes but Rollins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones throws a big right hand that misses.
Rollins keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Rollins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Rollins won't allow Jones to sweep him here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sal Rollins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
