Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eli Vieira (ranked 2682 p4p, 1409 weight class) and Jun Liu (ranked 308 p4p, 174 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira connects with a body shot that sends Liu's belly button to the back.
Vieira looks to score with a jab to the body but Liu is just out of range.
Jun Liu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liu lands a really nice looking cross but Vieira seems unphased.
Vieira just misses with a punch to the body.
Vieira misses with a body shot.
Vieira tries to move into range but Liu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Liu tries to clinch up but Vieira circles away and keeps his distance.
Vieira looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Vieira stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Liu.
Vieira shoots for a double leg takedown but Liu sprawls well. He's pushed Vieira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Liu throws a jab when Vieira was well out of range.

Liu moves into range and clinches up with Vieira.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Liu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Liu throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Liu tries to throw a body punch but Vieira avoids it by throwing Liu back against the cage.

Liu gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Vieira.
Vieira has Liu pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Liu manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Vieira takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Liu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vieira is out of range.

Vieira takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Liu on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Liu misses with an attempted mid kick.

Vieira misses with a jab, cross combination.
Liu has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Liu clinches.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vieira is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Liu pulls him back up using the underhooks.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vieira misses the shot to the body.
Liu has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Liu stuffs the takedown attempt from Vieira. Vieira gets slowly back to his feet.
Liu clobbers Vieira with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Vieira darts in looking for a takedown but Liu gets double underhooks and turns Vieira into the cage.

Liu drops Vieira with a big knee straight up the middle! Vieira is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Vieira is rocked!

It looks like Eli Vieira has been cut.
Liu fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Vieira to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Vieira looks to clinch but Liu throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Vieira taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
