Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Bonifacio (ranked 2178 p4p, 1393 weight class) and Deer Hunter (ranked 271 p4p, 187 weight class). Bonifacio comes to the cage accompanied by Karate - Kennedy. Luigi Bonifacio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter throws a looping overhand right but Bonifacio ducks down to avoid it.
Bonifacio fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hunter takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bonifacio ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hunter moves away.
Hunter appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Hunter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hunter pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bonifacio is out of range and Hunter settles back down.
Hunter swings for the body but Bonifacio moves out of range.
Bonifacio swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Bonifacio looks to score with a jab to the body but Hunter is just out of range.

Hunter throws a solid leg kick but Bonifacio takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hunter.
Bonifacio stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bonifacio tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hunter's elbow.
I was talking to Bonifacio 's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Bonifacio misses with a punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hunter.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bonifacio wants to stay close but Hunter steps back to make room for something. Bonifacio seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Hunter and Bonifacio drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

After winning the bout, Deer Hunter thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
