The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Waterman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kraag sprawls well initially but Waterman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Waterman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Kraag is trying to maintain the position but Waterman is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waterman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kraag really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Waterman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Waterman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Waterman is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Kraag has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Waterman has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Kraag taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Waterman doesn't care though - he's delighted!
