Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Gustafsson (ranked 1358 p4p, 1502 weight class) and Limu Emu (ranked 205 p4p, 227 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 32 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Gustafsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Limu Emu!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Emu backs away, Gustafsson returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Gustafsson goes for a double leg but Emu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Emu continues to drive forward.
Gustafsson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Emu just stands there and leans against the cage.
Emu tries a body shot but Gustafsson blocks it.
Emu tries to throw a body punch but Gustafsson avoids it by throwing Emu back against the cage.
Emu is stalling here.

Emu turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Gustafsson is trying to improve his position.
Gustafsson is working hard here to advance position.
Emu is looking to take a break and control but Gustafsson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Emu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gustafsson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Emu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gustafsson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Emu creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Gustafsson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Gustafsson misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Gustafsson is trying to improve his position.

It looks like Emu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Gustafsson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Emu's best efforts.

Emu wants to take a breather but Gustafsson is having none of it.
Emu is controlling the pace.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gustafsson actively working from the bottom here.
Emu is pressing down on Gustafsson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gustafsson is holding on for now.
Gustafsson regains full guard. Nicely done.

Emu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gustafsson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Emu is one step ahead there.
Emu seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Emu postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Emu tries to free his leg and advance position but Gustafsson is retaining full guard.
Emu's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Gustafsson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Emu defends well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Emu drops back looking for a leg! Gustafsson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gustafsson manages to kick Emu off! Emu jumps back into Gustafsson's guard.
Gustafsson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Gustafsson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Emu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Emu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Emu wants to control from the top but Gustafsson keeps moving.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Emu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Limu Emu dominated that round.
That's time! Gustafsson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gustafsson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Simon Gustafsson has been cut.
Gustafsson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gustafsson slips a straight right by Emu.
Gustafsson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Emu manages to circle out of the way.
Gustafsson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Emu misses with a looping left.
Gustafsson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nice uppercut lands for Emu. That snapped Gustafsson's head back.
Gustafsson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Emu closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Emu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gustafsson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gustafsson is looking for a sweep.
Emu has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Emu trying to control the action but Gustafsson is working from the bottom.
Emu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Gustafsson is looking to reverse the position.
Gustafsson taking punishment in the form of punches.
Gustafsson tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Check out the look on Emu's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Gustafsson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Emu lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Oh Gustafsson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gustafsson is trying to improve his position.

Emu scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Gustafsson is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Emu can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Limu Emu!
Limu Emu decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
