PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryant Wyatt (ranked 4147 p4p, 4266 weight class) and Broski Broski (ranked 0 p4p, 454 weight class). Wyatt comes to the cage accompanied by armed&dangerous. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bryant Wyatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Broski Broski!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyatt misses with a takedown attempt

and Broski counters with a crisp one two that drops Wyatt! Broski thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Wyatt to his feet! Wyatt is in big trouble!
Broski keeps the fight on the outside.
Broski changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Broski delivers a nice body kick.

Broski pushes Wyatt up against the cage in a clinch.
Wyatt is trying to pull guard but Broski turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Wyatt really is a fat lump.
Wyatt is breathing heavily.

Broski manages to break the clinch.

Broski fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wyatt, pushing him back against the cage.
Wyatt looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Broski lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wyatt backwards.

It looks like Bryant Wyatt has been cut.
Broski content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Wyatt has Broski pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Broski manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Broski pulls guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Broski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wyatt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Broski has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Wyatt has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Wyatt throws a wild body kick that Broski sees coming a mile off.
Broski goes for a double leg but Wyatt avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wyatt continues to drive forward.

Broski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Broski showed some decent athleticism there.
Broski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Broski is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wyatt sees it coming and defends easily.

Wyatt is looking to stand back up but Broski counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wyatt.


Broski is working for a kimura but Wyatt is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Broski stands up and beckons Wyatt to join him on the feet.

Good standup being displayed there by Broski as he connects with a hook.
Broski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A head kick misses from Wyatt.
Nice body kick there by Broski.
Broski lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Broski clinches with his opponent.
Broski tries to score a body lock takedown but Wyatt shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Broski counters with a series of strikes. Wyatt will be more careful next time no doubt.

Broski has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Broski pulls Wyatt in to control the position.
Broski trying to keep a closed guard but Wyatt is proving a slippery customer.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wyatt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Broski is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Wyatt presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Broski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Broski closes the distance and clinches up with Wyatt, looking for a takedown. Broski pushes Wyatt against the cage but Wyatt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

As Broski looks to move away, Wyatt throws a big counter combo but Broski just gets out of the way.

Broski rushes Wyatt and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wyatt is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Broski gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Wyatt darts in looking for a takedown but Broski gets double underhooks and turns Wyatt into the cage.

Broski scores with a head kick. Wyatt tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Wyatt misses the shot to the body.
Broski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wyatt sprawls well. Wyatt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Broski gets slowly back to his feet.

Broski decides to pull guard.
Broski doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Broski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wyatt manages to get himself to full guard.


That's four minutes gone in the round.
Broski controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Broski trying to control the position from guard on top but Wyatt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wyatt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Broski pushes down on Wyatt's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Broski Broski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Broski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
