Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vladamir Harkonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Savage!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage fails to land with a series of punches.
Savage lands with a nice combination. Harkonen backs away looking to recover.
Savage throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Harkonen avoids the body shot from Savage.
Harkonen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Savage throws a looping overhand right but Harkonen ducks down to avoid it.
Savage lands with an uppercut that bounces Harkonen off the cage and back into rage.
Savage tries to bum rush Harkonen with a series of wild strikes but Harkonen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Savage lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Savage scores with a one two! Harkonen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Harkonen scores a takedown into full mount!
Savage wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Savage wants to hold on but Harkonen pushes him away.

Harkonen looking to control and managing it successfully.
Harkonen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Savage is looking to escape.
Harkonen won't let Savage get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Savage sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Harkonen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Savage knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Harkonen working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Harkonen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Savage wants to control but Harkonen is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harkonen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Savage is staying active underneath Harkonen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Savage is trying to get back to full guard.
Savage has hold of Harkonen's hands but Harkonen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Harkonen connects with a nice short shot to Savage's temple.
Savage should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Harkonen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Savage keeps working.
Harkonen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Savage knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Savage tries to kick Harkonen off but Harkonen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Harkonen is pressing down on Savage's thigh, looking to free his foot. Savage is holding on for now.
Harkonen is keen to just control but Savage is a slippery customer.
Harkonen thows a huge punch but Savage dodges it nicely.
Harkonen is trying to control. Savage wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Harkonen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Savage does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Savage manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Harkonen wants to hold on but Savage pushes him away.
Savage thowing shots but they're missing.
Savage throwing strikes but Harkonen recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Harkonen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Harkonen.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Savageis looking to pass into half guard but Harkonen pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Harkonen is in guard.
Harkonen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Harkonen wants to control from the top but Savage keeps moving.
Harkonen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Savage is keeping the position for now.
Harkonen is working hard here to advance position.
Harkonen cracks Savage with a solid left hand.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Savage looking for a sweep. Not yet Savage, not yet.
Harkonen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Harkonen throws a big right hand that misses.
Harkonen stops Savage from standing up.
Harkonen wants to control from the top but Savage keeps moving.
Harkonen looking to pass the guard.
Savage is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Harkonen trying to control but Savage is working from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Savage ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harkonen moves away.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Harkonen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Savage avoids it really well and circles away.
Savage fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Harkonen shoots in but Savage avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladamir Harkonen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Savage throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Savage missing with a left hand there. Harkonen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Harkonen shoots in for a double leg but Savage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Savage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Harkonen tries for a takedown but Savage sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
Savage throws a series of punches but Harkonen avoids them all with ease.
Savage rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Harkonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Harkonen has closed the distance and engaged Savage in a clinch.
Harkonen keeps control of Savage as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Harkonen is trying to drag Savage to the mat but Savage just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Savage is trying to break free.
Harkonen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Savage gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Harkonen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Savage pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Harkonen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Harkonen manages to end up in side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Vladamir Harkonen showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Harkonen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
