PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Weaver (ranked 3310 p4p, 24761 weight class) and Koobley Kon (ranked 129 p4p, 314 weight class). Koobley Kon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kon ducks under a wild hook from Weaver.
Kon steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Weaver.
A big left from Weaver misses.
Kon wants to counter the offense by Weaver and move into the clinch position.
Weaver misses with an uppercut.
Kon steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Weaver.
Weaver loads up on a big right hand but Kon slips the punch.
Weaver sets himself, and Kon steps forward looking for the clinch! Weaver avoids it this time.

Weaver throws out a loose jab but Kon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Weaver looks to score with a jab to the body but Kon is just out of range.

Weaver cracks Kon with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kon looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Weaver finish him?

Kon is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Weaver swings for the body but Kon moves out of range.
Kon is still on wobbly legs! Can Weaver finish him?
Weaver fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Weaver misses the jab.
Kon is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Kon seems to have recovered his senses.
Weaver misses with an uppercut.

Weaver lands a big right hand that sends Kon crashing to the mat! Weaver stays standing though and waves Kon back to his feet!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Weaver waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kon.
Kon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Weaver.
Weaver cracks Kon with a left hook right on the temple and Kon goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Weaver lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Kon is OK!
