The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter misses with a double jab.
Brutus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carter's waist but Carter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brutus off to one side.
No joy there for Carter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Carter misses with a looping left.
Carter stalks Brutus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Brutus's face. Brutus staggers backwards, shaken.
Carter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Carter throws a right hand that Brutus ducks under and follows up with a left that Brutus also avoids with ease.
Carter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
