The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honda Jr stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
De Luca throws a hook but Honda Jr avoids it easily.
Honda Jr's jab looks to have found its range, popping De Luca under the eye.
A head kick misses from De Luca.

De Luca walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

We've been told by Honda Jr's head coaches at Punch Out Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Honda Jr counters with a nice uppercut.

Honda Jr uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from De Luca.

Honda Jr loads up on a big right hand but De Luca slips the punch.
De Luca missing with a left hand there. Honda Jr was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Honda Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
De Luca gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Honda Jr gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! De Luca is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
