And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 10 losses; Shane Goble!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Goble shoots for a takedown but River saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Goble shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has River pinned against the cage. River gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Goble.
Bernhard River has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Goble.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Goble.

River fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Goble sprawls well initially but River persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Goble felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
