Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fyodor Dmitriev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Meltdown Miettinen!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dmitriev on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Miettinen darts in looking for a takedown but Dmitriev gets double underhooks and turns Miettinen into the cage.
Miettinen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dmitriev pinned against the cage. Dmitriev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
An attempted straight right counter from Dmitriev misses the target.
Dmitriev lands a nice leg kick that just misses Miettinen's sensitive parts.
Miettinen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dmitriev defends well and Miettinen ends up having to push Dmitriev into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Fyodor Dmitriev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Meltdown Miettinen.
Dmitriev feints and then cracks Miettinen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Miettinen down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lazy left from Dmitriev finds it's target.
It looks like Meltdown Miettinen has been cut.
Dmitriev closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Miettinen! Dmitriev dives in looking to finish! Miettinen is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
